A townhouse-style villa on three levels, two kilometres from Rawai Beach. The roof is the point of the place: a pool, a canopy with a hammock and a swing, sun loungers and a panorama over the greenery, the neighbourhood and the hills of southern Phuket. The bedrooms are spread across the floors, each with its own bathroom.

Pool, hammock and swing on the roof

On the top level there is a pool with a chest-height wall, a lounge with a sofa beside it and a spiral staircase down to the floor below. Under a metal canopy stand sun loungers, a hanging chair and a hammock — the shade holds all day, so the roof is usable even at midday. The view takes in palms, the roofs of the neighbourhood and a ridge of hills.

• Nai Harn — 3 km, 7–10 minutes
• Chalong Pier and the seafood markets — nearby

Rental terms

June — 80,000 ฿ per month, minimum stay 10 nights. Water and internet are included, electricity is metered. The final cleaning is included. Smoking indoors is prohibited, with a 10,000 ฿ penalty. By January the price rises almost fivefold, so we send the current rate for the month you need.

Who it suits

A group or a family who care more about having their own roof with a pool than a garden: the floors are separated, each bedroom has its own bathroom, and evenings are spent upstairs under the canopy. The sea is five minutes by scooter, the seafood markets the same.
